Ceramic insulators for electrostatic precipitators (installation and usage instructions)

1、 Product purpose and characteristics

Ceramic insulators used in electrostatic precipitators mainly serve as cathode support, side vibration, and wall insulation in electrostatic precipitators, and are key insulation components of electrostatic precipitators.

2、 Product performance

The ceramic insulator products for electrostatic precipitators comply with the requirements of GB772-87 "Technical Conditions for High Voltage Insulator Porcelain Parts" and JB/T6746.1-4 "Ceramic Insulators for Electrostatic Precipitators" standards.

3、 Precautions for product installation and use

3.1. Ceramic insulators used in electrostatic precipitators should be installed and used without exceeding their rated voltage and rated temperature specified values.

3.2. Prevent condensation on the surface of ceramic insulators used in electrostatic precipitators and avoid reducing insulation performance.

3.3. Prevent surface contamination of ceramic insulators and sleeves used in electrostatic precipitators, especially on the inner surface. Special attention should be paid to insufficient fuel and coal combustion during the debugging stage, which can easily form a large amount of carbon black. Carbon black is a substance that is prone to conducting electricity, causing an arc on the surface of the insulator and leading to its rupture. So after each startup debugging is completed, the inner and outer surfaces of the porcelain sleeve and other insulator surfaces must be wiped clean.

3.4. The electrostatic precipitator should operate under negative pressure, and special attention should be paid during the debugging stage. If positive pressure is generated due to certain reasons during operation, the inner surface of the ceramic sleeve used in the electrostatic precipitator has been contaminated, and the machine must be stopped for cleaning.

3.5. Regular maintenance should be carried out on the electrostatic precipitator, and ceramic insulators used in the electrostatic precipitator should be checked. The inner and outer surfaces of the insulators should be cleaned. If any traces of electric arc burns are found on the surface of the product, regardless of whether it explodes or not, they should be replaced to avoid greater losses.

3.6. The insulation room should prevent rainwater and other moisture from entering, prevent condensation, and prevent insulator discharge and damage.

3.7. Ceramic insulators for electrostatic precipitators should not have any deviation during installation.

3.8. To prevent local overheating of insulators and thermal expansion and cracking, the heater should be kept away from the porcelain sleeve (not less than 1 meter). When the temperature in the insulation room is ≥ 120C, the heater should be turned off.

3.9. After the installation of the ceramic shaft, it should rotate flexibly, otherwise it should be installed separately.

3.10. We should strengthen the safety management and maintenance of electrostatic precipitators, provide personnel training, and develop operating procedures.
